National Whole Child Resolution

Urge Congress to Support Whole Child Education

H. Res. 1093 designates March as "National Whole Child Month" and makes a whole child approach to education a national priority. This is your chance to go on record with your federal representative and urge him or her to work with you, ASCD, and our whole child partners to support a whole child approach. If you haven't already, send a letter to your senators urging them to cosponsor the Senate version of the National Whole Child Resolution.

Your letter will automatically be sent to your representative based on your full address. We encourage you to add your own personal experience, data, or story before sending.

Dear Representative Inglis:

As a Whole Child Advocate, I ask you to cosponsor House Resolution 1093 designating March as "National Whole Child Month." The resolution also recognizes that ensuring all children are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged should be a national priority and encourages parents, educators, and community members to support a whole child approach to education for each student.

This initiative is led by ASCD and is a collaborative effort of its national partners. I urge you to show your support to children across the country and your commitment to a quality education for each child by cosponsoring this resolution.

Thank you in advance for your prompt consideration and support of this important measure.

Sincerely,

Dr. NeSmith
