The Center for Mental Health in Schools at UCLA's ENEWS is a forum to link with those who are concerned with enhancing policies, programs, and practices related to addressing barriers to student learning and promoting mental health in schools. It augments the ways the Center shares information and facilitates interchange and networking. This issue of the center's ENEWS looks at the Equity and Excellence Commission’s 2013 report to the Secretary of Education entitled: For Each and Every Child – A Strategy for Education Equity and Excellence (PDF). The report provides a five-part framework "of tightly interrelated recommendations" to help guide policymaking on addressing equity of opportunity for all students.
